Zelensky addressed Ukrainians regarding the US peace plan

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed all Ukrainians regarding the US peace plan. He noted that the country may now face a very difficult choice.

As BAKU.WS reports, this was announced by "RBC-Ukraine" with reference to the statement of the Ukrainian leader.

"Now is one of the most difficult moments in our history. Now the pressure on Ukraine is one of the heaviest. Now Ukraine may face a very difficult choice. Either loss of dignity, or risk of losing a key partner," said the head of state.

Zelensky spoke about the choice - either "difficult 28 points, or an extremely hard winter, the hardest one, and further risks." He emphasized that he gave his answer to this on May 20, 2019, during his oath of allegiance to Ukraine, when he pledged to protect the sovereignty and independence of the country, to defend the rights and freedoms of citizens.

"And every day, to every word of it I remain faithful. I will never betray it. The national Ukrainian interest must be taken into account. We do not make loud statements. We will work calmly with America and all partners," emphasized the President of Ukraine.

He made it clear that he wants to make amendments to the plan so that it includes "honor and dignity of Ukrainians." "We are, of course, made of steel, but even the strongest metal can fail to endure," the president said. According to him, Ukraine is facing a difficult week with constant pressure.

The head of state announced the search for solutions with the US and noted that he would propose alternatives and fight so that "among all the points of the plan, at least two are not missed."

"We will not give the enemy reasons to say that it is Ukraine that does not want peace, that it is disrupting the process and is not ready for diplomacy. This will not happen. Ukraine will work quickly," Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian leader emphasized that he would do everything to ensure the end of the war as a result. According to him, Ukraine is now the "only shield" that separates comfortable European life "from the plans" of Russia. Zelensky stated that the whole world should understand that Ukrainians are primarily people and they have been containing one of the largest armies in the world for almost four years of full-scale war.

"We hold a front line of several thousand kilometers, and our people experience shelling, rocket attacks, ballistic strikes and Shahed strikes every night, and our people lose someone close to them every day, and our people really want the war to end," said the Ukrainian leader.
