Vladimir Putin announced an Easter truce

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the introduction of an Easter ceasefire.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Kremlin press service, today the Supreme Commander-in-Chief heard a report from the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov on the current situation at the line of combat contact. Following the meeting, Putin stated that the Russian side is suspending all combat operations from 19:00 on April 19 until 01:00 on April 21 (time indicated for Baku).

The head of state also called on Ukraine to support the initiative and join the Easter ceasefire.
