Trump: The US has deployed large forces to Iran and is preparing for any scenario
The United States has sent even more significant forces to Iran than to Venezuela, and is counting on making a deal with Tehran, however they are also prepared for a different turn of events.
As reported by TASS, this was stated by US President Donald Trump.
"We have a large flotilla, an armada - you can call it whatever you want - that is now heading to Iran. It's even bigger than what we had in Venezuela," he told reporters while signing some new orders at the White House.
"Now we are sending even more ships to Iran and, hopefully, we will make a deal. If we reach a deal, that will be good. If we don't make it, then we'll see what happens," added the American leader.
Trump said that only the Iranian authorities know whether he set any deadline for them to conclude a deal with the United States.
Journalists at the White House asked him to clarify whether he had set a time limit for Tehran before the US takes further action regarding Iran.
"Only they (the Iranians - ed.) know that for sure," the American leader responded.
