Trump: Sometimes you need to let the sides fight

US President Donald Trump, speaking about the prospects for resolving the conflict in Ukraine, said that sometimes it's worth letting the sides fight.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Fox News, he said this to journalists on board the plane on the way from Busan to Washington after negotiations with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

"We agree that the parties are involved in hostilities, and sometimes you just need to let them fight," said the American leader.

Trump also said that he discussed the situation in Ukraine with Xi Jinping, and the Chinese leader promised to help resolve the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv.
