US President Donald Trump noted that he feels sympathy for Chinese leader Xi Jinping, but emphasized that reaching mutual understanding with him is extremely difficult.
Trump reported this on his page on the social network Truth Social.
"I have always had a good attitude toward the Chairman of the PRC, and that will not change. But he is a man of strong convictions, and reaching an agreement with him is a real challenge," noted the former head of the White House.
