Trump commented on the report about an attack on Putin's residence
US President Donald Trump stated that Russian leader Vladimir Putin informed him about Ukraine's attack on his residence.
As BAKU.WS reports with reference to "RBC-Ukraine", the White House head shared this during a conversation with journalists.
"I actually just heard about this, but I don't know anything about it. It would be very unfortunate," the American leader initially said. However, a minute later he revealed that he had a conversation with the Russian president "regarding the attack on his residence."
"Putin told me about it early in the morning. He said he was attacked. This is not good. This is not good. Don't forget, I stopped the Tomahawks. It's one thing to be aggressive, but it's another to attack his home. Now is not the time for such actions," the US president noted.
He also answered a journalist's question about whether it's possible that the attack the Russians are claiming about didn't actually happen. "It's possible there was no attack, as you say, but Putin told me there was," Trump stated.
Recall that on December 29, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Ukraine carried out an attack on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in turn, denied this information, emphasizing that the Russian side is looking for a pretext to strike government buildings in Kyiv.
