Trump called Erdogan

President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, during which they discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to foreign media, the American side initiated the conversation.

According to the disseminated information, the heads of state discussed bilateral relations between Ankara and Washington, as well as issues related to the situation in Gaza. Erdogan emphasized that his visit to Washington contributed to further strengthening relations between Turkey and the US, noting the need to intensify cooperation in all areas, especially in the defense industry.

The Turkish leader also stated that Ankara welcomes any peaceful initiatives to resolve the situation in Gaza and intends to intensify diplomatic efforts in this direction.
