Trump admitted the possibility of seizing Kharg Island
American President Donald Trump did not rule out that the United States Armed Forces would attempt to seize Iran's Kharg Island.
"Maybe we'll take Kharg Island. Maybe not. We have a lot of options," the head of the White House said in an interview with The Financial Times.
"That would also mean we'd have to be there for a while," the American leader stated, referring to a possible landing of U.S. forces on Kharg. "I don't think they have any defense. We could take it very easily," the head of the Washington administration asserted.
On March 26, the American portal Axios, citing U.S. officials and its sources, reported that the Pentagon was preparing four possible options for escalating the conflict with Iran, which could include the seizure of Kharg, Larak, or Abu Musa islands.
