People's Artist Valentina Talyzina has died at the age of 91. This was reported by representatives of the Mossovet Theater.

The theater noted that very recently, on January 22, Valentina Illarionovna celebrated her 90th birthday on the stage of her beloved Mossovet Theater. That evening, she brilliantly performed the role of the Countess in the play "Wolves and Sheep" surrounded by family, colleagues, and devoted fans who greeted the beloved actress with thunderous ovations.

In March of this year, in a conversation with the publication "Abzats," Talyzina firmly denied information that she had been diagnosed with cancer. At that time, the actress assured that she was feeling normal.

On March 12, the Telegram channel SHOT spread information that Talyzina had called doctors to her home due to severe nausea and body pain that had persisted for several days. It was reported that during the examination, doctors allegedly discovered pancreatic cancer in the artist, and she was receiving outpatient treatment.

Valentina Illarionovna Talyzina was born in 1935 in Omsk. Her path to the acting profession began unusually – she first enrolled in the Omsk Agricultural Institute, but then decided to radically change her fate and became a student at GITIS, which she graduated from in 1958. Immediately after graduation, the young actress was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow Mossovet Theater, where she served for more than 60 years.

Talyzina's film debut took place in 1963, and she gained true nationwide love for her roles in films by Eldar Ryazanov and Georgy Daneliya – "Zigzag of Fortune," "Afonya," and, of course, "The Irony of Fate," where she not only acted but also voiced the main female character.

Millions of viewers also know and love her unique voice – it is her voice that speaks as Uncle Fyodor's mom in the iconic cartoons about Prostokvashino.
