Grossi on the radiation level outside the facility in Natanz

The radiation level outside the facility located in Natanz, Iran, has not changed and remains normal, indicating the absence of radiological impact on people or the environment.
As TASS reports, this was stated by the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on the escalation between Iran and Israel.
"The radiation level outside the Natanz facility has not changed and remains normal, indicating the absence of external radiological impact on the population or the environment. However, inside the Natanz facility, there is radiological and chemical contamination. Possibly, uranium isotopes contained in uranium hexafluoride, uranyl fluoride, and hydrogen fluoride have spread inside the facility. Radiation, mainly consisting of alpha particles, poses a significant danger when inhaled or swallowed, but this risk can be effectively controlled with appropriate protective measures, such as the use of respiratory devices," he emphasized.
