Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan plan to increase the number of flights between the two countries to 40 per week.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Uzbekistan's Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov in an interview with the "Uzbekistan 24" television channel.

According to him, currently 18 flights per week are operated between the countries, and the goal has been set to increase their number to 40.

Makhkamov added that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, following the results of high-level negotiations in Tashkent on August 23, reached agreements on developing the Middle Corridor infrastructure, establishing joint ventures, and resuming ferry services. The minister emphasized that this work will be continued in a practical direction.
