Did Roberto Carlos convert to Islam?

A member of the Turkish parliament from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party), representing Gaziantep, Ali Şahin, made a sensational statement. Based on information obtained during meetings in Brazil, he announced that the legend of world football, former star of Real Madrid and Fenerbahçe, Roberto Carlos, has converted to Islam.

As reported by BAKU.WS, Ali Şahin, during a visit to São Paulo, held a meeting with the vice president and religious advisor of the Brazilian Association of Islamic Jurists (ANAJI), Sheikh Jihad Hammade.

Sheikh Jihad Hammade said that Roberto Carlos had been in contact with him for a long time, and approximately four weeks ago personally visited him, recited the shahada, and converted to Islam.

It is known that Roberto Carlos previously started a family with Suheila Tahiri, a Spanish businesswoman of Moroccan origin.

As of now, neither Roberto Carlos himself nor his family members have made any official statements on the matter.
