New provocations by Armenia: the myth of another shelling

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia disseminated information that allegedly from 08:00 to 09:00, units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan opened fire in the direction of the village of Nerkin And, located in the Syunik region of the country (Zangezur - ed.). According to the Armenian side, a residential house was damaged as a result of the shelling.
However, as reliable sources told Caliber.az, this statement does not correspond to reality. The units of the Azerbaijani army did not open fire in the indicated direction, and the statements spread by the Armenian side are far-fetched and do not correspond to reality.
"The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan strictly adhere to the principle of not attacking civilian objects and have never posed and do not pose a threat to the civilian population. Our sources noted that such accusations from Yerevan aim to misinform both Armenian and international public.
Recently, such false claims from Armenian military structures have become systematic. This suggests the existence of a certain information strategy aimed at creating an illusion of tension along the conditional border. The goal is obvious - to form a false impression of what is happening among external observers and to present Armenia as a victim, despite the absence of any real grounds for such claims. In conditions when the region needs stability and movement towards sustainable peace, such statements only undermine the atmosphere of trust and demonstrate that the Armenian side still uses the method of information (and not only) provocations instead of a constructive approach," the message states.
