11 members of a criminal group have been arrested in Khatai district

On October 23, at approximately 00:10, an incident occurred in one of the restaurants located on Aliaga Shikhlinsky Street in the Khatai district of Baku, as a result of which 43-year-old J. Miragayev was killed from stab wounds.

As reported by BAKU.WS, as a result of operational-investigative measures carried out by the investigative team of the General Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ramil Dadashov, Eldar Eldarov, Ahmed Alizade, Ismayil Kazymov, Hasan Zulfugarov, Farid Eyyublu and Khayyam Safikanov, Mikail Ismayilov, Kamran Efendiyev, Elvin Safarov and Elmar Nuriyev were arrested. It has been established that they had planned the act in advance.

According to information from the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it has been established that the said individuals led a lifestyle in accordance with the rules of the criminal world and were systematically engaged in illegal activities. They created a criminal organization and participated in its activities with the purpose of extorting money through threats and conducting so-called criminal proceedings, gaining authority in criminal circles, as well as intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm using firearms and edged weapons to brutally punish individuals who refused to comply with their demands.

The necessary operational-investigative measures continue in the criminal case opened under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. The aim is to establish all the circumstances of the incident, the degree of involvement of each detainee in the crime, as well as the areas of activity and connections of the criminal organization.
