Scientists claimed AI's ability to extend human life up to 150 years

Extending human life to 150 years with the help of artificial intelligence technologies is theoretically possible, but it definitely won't be related to the emergence of "one magic pill."

As reported by BAKU.WS, this opinion was expressed to TASS by Darya Podchinenova, Deputy Director of the Institute of Medicine and Medical Technologies at Novosibirsk State University, commenting on a New York Times article about Chinese researchers' developments.

According to her, there is a hypothesis that humans cannot live longer than 125-127 years due to the limited number of cell divisions - the so-called Hayflick limit. However, biotechnology and AI can help overcome these limitations: personalized medicine based on AI algorithms, and in the future - gene editing.

The expert emphasized that completely stopping aging is unlikely to be possible, but methods can be developed to maintain youth for longer. According to the American publication, Chinese researchers are studying the effect of grape seeds on aging processes. Podchinenova also reminded that universal recommendations remain unchanged: balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, training of cognitive functions. All this helps to maintain vigor of body and spirit. According to her, prevention, rather than waiting for a miracle cure, is the key to fighting aging.
