Putin and Erdogan discussed the Iran-Israel conflict

Presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke by telephone. They discussed the conflict between Israel and Iran, according to the Turkish president's office.

The heads of state also discussed bilateral relations and regional issues.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the "spiral of violence" that began with Israel's attack on Iran on June 13 threatens the security of the entire Middle East region. The Turkish president emphasized that the issue surrounding Iran's nuclear program can only be resolved through diplomatic means.
