Pashinyan Spoke About a Referendum on Armenia's Possible Accession to the EU

A referendum on the possible accession of Armenia to the European Union (EU) is currently impossible to hold.

This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a video recording of his speech was posted on his Facebook page.

According to him, the referendum will take place after Armenia officially approaches the European Union regarding obtaining membership. The politician noted that it is necessary to work on this issue institutionally.

Pashinyan added that if today the Armenian authorities tell citizens that they need to decide between the European Union or the Eurasian Economic Union, they will be asking about the prospects of EU membership, about the roadmap, and so on.
