Italian Foreign Ministry: Iran was preparing to create 10 atomic bombs

Israel carried out military strikes on Iran, guided by intelligence information about the development of Tehran's nuclear and missile programs.

As Oxu.Az reports with reference to RIA Novosti, this was stated by the Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani during a speech in parliament dedicated to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East.

"Foreign Minister (of Israel) Gideon Saar told me that the decision to start the operation was based on precise intelligence information about Tehran's nuclear and missile programs," Tajani noted. According to him, according to Israeli intelligence, Iran could have obtained ten atomic bombs and more than 2,000 ballistic missiles within the next six months.

Tajani emphasized that such a development represents a serious threat not only to Israel but also to the entire region and the international community. He also referred to the latest report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which condemns Iran for violating its uranium enrichment obligations.
