IRGC threatened the US with a harsh response to strikes on Iran

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a harsh statement, promising to deliver retaliatory strikes against U.S. facilities in the Middle East as early as today, July 30.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the statement came in response to an overnight series of American attacks on Iranian territory.

"With the help of the Almighty, the aggressor will be punished today," the official statement from the elite units of the Iranian armed forces read.

It was earlier reported that the United States conducted a large-scale overnight operation, during which dozens of IRGC facilities were struck. Command posts, missile and drone positions, coastal defense assets, and naval infrastructure were hit.

Meanwhile, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing American officials, Washington is not seeking a full-scale war. The publication's sources note that the overnight strikes, despite their high intensity, do not signify a resumption of large-scale military operations at the regional level.
