Euronews TV channel prepared a report on the first AIREX International Real Estate Exhibition in Baku, dedicated to Azerbaijan's investment opportunities and urban environment development.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the channel's material covers issues of affordable housing, urban planning, and the application of new technologies in the real estate sector.
Euronews notes that the exhibition brought together developers and investors against the backdrop of large-scale transformations in Baku and the reconstruction of Karabakh, where demand for new homes and public infrastructure is emerging.
AIREX organizer Riyad Salayev said that more than 70 companies from 14 countries participated in the event. According to him, the exhibition serves as a platform for interaction between investors, buyers, and businesses, and its goal is to attract more regional and international participants.
As emphasized in the report, Azerbaijan's objectives go beyond attracting investments and include transforming cities, expanding business opportunities, and creating spaces for living and working. At the same time, new residential neighborhoods must develop alongside schools, medical facilities, transportation, and other essential facilities.
Marcelina Zielińska, a board member of the international architectural firm Chapman Taylor, noted that successful urban development requires a comprehensive approach.
"A city consists of many layers. It is architecture, but also business, economics, location, climate, and community. It is necessary to consider roads, infrastructure, green areas, and public spaces," she said.
The material also covers Chapman Taylor's involvement in developing master plans for the cities of Shusha and Jabrayil, as well as various territories of Aghdam and Fuzuli.
Euronews points out that AIREX made it possible to present various approaches to real estate development — from affordable housing and urban planning to digital services and tourism infrastructure. One of the key questions was how to turn investments into a living environment that meets people's needs.
