Iranian diplomats banned from accessing the European Parliament

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola announced a ban on admitting Iranian diplomats and other representatives to the EP territory.

"While the courageous people of Iran continue to stand up for their rights and freedom, today I made the decision to prohibit all diplomatic personnel and any other representatives of Iran from accessing all European Parliament buildings. This House will not contribute to legitimizing a regime that maintains power through torture, repression, and murder," she emphasized.
