Iran requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council

Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN Amir Saeed Iravani made a sharp statement condemning US military actions against his country.
"Undoubtedly, the US military aggression against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran constitutes a gross violation of international law and binding international norms enshrined in the UN Charter," states the official letter from Iravani sent to the Chairman of the UN Security Council and the Secretary-General of the organization.
In the document, the Iranian diplomat emphasizes the seriousness of the situation and calls for immediate action: "In light of the serious and far-reaching consequences of these barbaric and criminal actions regarding international peace and security, the Islamic Republic of Iran urgently requests the Security Council to convene an emergency meeting to discuss this flagrant and illegal act of aggression without delay."
