Iran requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council after Israel's strikes on its territory.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the Iranian news agency IRNA.
It is noted that Iran called for an immediate convening of an emergency meeting of the Security Council, "so that this international body could consider the scale of aggression and threats to global peace and security, as well as call the Zionist regime to full and effective accountability for its".
On the night of June 13, Israel announced the start of operation "Am KeLavi" ("Nation, like a lion"), the purpose of which is to damage Iran's nuclear and missile programs. After this, the army of the Jewish state struck targets in several settlements, including Tehran and Natanz. The targets were military bases, air defense systems, and residential complexes where representatives of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were located.
