Iran refuses to negotiate a ceasefire

Iran informed Qatar and Oman, which mediate in its contacts with the US and Israel, that it is "not open to negotiations on a ceasefire while under Israeli strikes."
As BAKU.WS reports, this was announced by Reuters, citing an anonymous official.
In this report from Dubai, the agency does not even specify the nationality of its source, but claims that they are informed about Iran's contacts with Oman and Qatar.
"The Iranians informed the Qatari and Omani mediators that they would be ready for serious negotiations only after Iran finishes responding to Israel's preemptive strikes," the agency quotes its source, "Iran has made it clear that it will not negotiate while being attacked."
According to this official, press reports claiming that Iran had allegedly asked Oman and Qatar to involve the US as a mediator in ceasefire negotiations, as well as expressed readiness to resume negotiations on the nuclear program, were inaccurate.
Officially, Iran, Oman, or Qatar have not yet made any statements on this matter.
Oman has mediated negotiations between the US and Iran on the nuclear program in recent months. The last round was supposed to take place on Saturday but was canceled due to Israeli strikes.
Qatar, as Reuters reminds, previously mediated contacts between Iran and Israel.
Both Oman and Qatar have good relations with Tehran and Washington, and also have direct contact with Israel.
