20-time world champion in motorcycle racing Nikolai Krasnikov died in a car accident near Ufa.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this is being reported by Russian media.
The athlete crashed in his car on the R-240 highway. Nikolai Krasnikov was driving to Ufa from Nizhnekamsk, but around 3 AM he drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a "Gazelle" and a "Citrak". He died from his injuries.
Nikolai Krasnikov is an eight-time world champion in individual standings and twelve-time in team standings.
