Haber Global receives five awards
The 28th International Zoom News Competition on the theme "Gaza through the camera lens" took place in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. Haber Global TV channel received awards in five different nominations for their coverage of the coup d'état in Syria that occurred on December 8, 2024.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Haber Global, the TV channel was recognized in the categories "Drone News" and "Live News". News cameramen selected the best photos of the year.
Intelligence Chief Mucahit Topcu and cameraman Serdar Altintepe were awarded in the "Drone News" category for their coverage of the coup in Syria.
Correspondent Mehmet Altunisik and cameraman Cagri Caliskan received an award in the "Live News" category for the report "Coming Home," dedicated to Syrians who returned to their homes after years.
And Yunus Emre Sahbenderoglu became the recipient of a special award for the story "First Prayer in the Umayyad Mosque".
