Erdogan issued a warning in connection with attacks on vessels in the Black Sea
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that creating threats to the safety of navigation in the country's exclusive economic zone is unacceptable.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by Haber Global.
According to him, attacks on commercial vessels off the coast of Turkey indicate an escalation of the situation.
"The war between Russia and Ukraine has clearly begun to threaten the security of shipping in the Black Sea. The attack on vessels in our exclusive economic zone on Friday signals a worrying escalation," Erdogan said.
"We cannot in any way justify these attacks. We are sending the necessary warnings to all interested parties regarding such incidents," he added.
On November 28, it became known about a fire on the tanker Kairos and smoke on the tanker Virat (both sailing under the flag of Gambia) in the Black Sea. The first vessel was heading to Russia, while the route of the second was not disclosed.
