Archaeologists found an ancient coin linked to biblical prophecy of Jesus

Archaeologists have discovered a bronze coin in Jerusalem that is about 2000 years old, minted in the last months before the destruction of the Second Temple - an event predicted by Jesus Christ in the Bible, reports Daily Mail.
The find dates back to 69-70 CE, during the fourth year of the Great Jewish Revolt against the Roman Empire. This conflict, also known as the First Jewish-Roman War (66-73 CE), began due to religious tensions, unbearable taxes, and political oppression.
The coin was made by Jewish rebels when Jerusalem was already under siege by Roman troops. The front side depicts a cup with an inscription in ancient Hebrew script. The reverse shows a palm branch and two etrogs, ritual attributes of the Sukkot festival, dedicated to the 40-year wandering of the Israelites through the desert after the Exodus from Egypt.
The destruction of the Second Temple occurred in 70 CE when the Romans suppressed the uprising, destroying the main religious center and symbol of Jewish independence. Jesus, according to the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, predicted that "not one stone here will be left on another" - these words are traditionally associated with the fall of the Temple.
The coin was found near the southwest corner of the Temple Mount. According to experts, it is well preserved.
"This is a bronze coin with clear inscriptions and symbols. Such findings allow us to literally touch the last days of the Second Temple and the lives of people who found themselves at the center of the greatest tragedy of their era," the archaeologists' statement says.
