An American millionaire was fatally gored by a buffalo during a hunting trip

In the South African province of Limpopo, 52-year-old American businessman and hunter Asher Watkins died while hunting buffalo. The man was fatally injured when the animal weighing about 1.3 tons suddenly attacked him from the bushes at a speed of about 56 km/h, reports the Daily Mail.
Watkins was on safari with a professional hunter and trapper. According to the publication, the safari cost the man £7500 (about 802,000 rubles). It is unknown whether the trip organizers' team shot the buffalo.
Watkins owned and managed Watkins Ranch Group, a company specializing in the sale of elite ranches, commercial real estate, and natural lands in Texas, Oklahoma, and the Western United States. The publication refers to him as a millionaire but does not provide exact data about his wealth.
Cape buffaloes, known as the "black death," kill up to 200 people annually in Africa. The Daily Mail specifies that these buffaloes kill more game hunters than any other animal, including elephants, lions, rhinoceroses, or crocodiles.
