Trump: Azerbaijan and Armenia will sign a peace agreement on August 8
I am looking forward to meeting with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan tomorrow at the White House for a historic peace summit.
This was written by US President Donald Trump on his Truth Social page.
"These two countries have been at war for many years, resulting in thousands of deaths. Many leaders have tried to end the war until now, but have not succeeded. My administration has been working with both sides for a long time.
On August 8, together with President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a signing ceremony for a peace agreement will take place at the White House. The United States will also sign bilateral agreements with both countries to fully unlock the potential of the South Caucasus region and jointly implement economic opportunities. I am very proud of these brave leaders for doing the right work for the Great peoples of Azerbaijan and Armenia. This will be a historic day for Azerbaijan, Armenia, the USA, and the entire world," he emphasized.
