Attempted arson at the Hagia Sophia mosque: after prayer, an unknown person tried to set papers on fire

An arson attempt was prevented at the Hagia Sophia mosque in Turkey.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the incident occurred after the evening prayer.
After the prayer, an unknown person entered the mosque and attempted to start a fire by setting fire to papers located behind the rahle (wooden stand for reading the Quran).
The imam of the mosque responded immediately to the incident and extinguished the fire before the flames could spread.
According to preliminary information, no one was injured as a result of the incident. The suspect was detained by security forces.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
