Trump will sign a bill to terminate Amendment 907 in relation to Azerbaijan

US President Donald Trump will sign a document on terminating the implementation of Section 907 of the "Freedom Support Act".

As Report informs, the document will be signed on August 8 during the visit of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev to Washington.

This document, which is the result of successful cooperation between the leaders of the two countries, will put an end to the injustice that Azerbaijan has been subjected to for 33 years.

Recall that during the period of ongoing occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia, the US Congress in 1992 passed a law prohibiting US government assistance to Azerbaijan, citing the alleged implementation of a "blockade" against Armenia by official Baku.

Although in subsequent periods US presidents suspended the implementation of Section 907, the Biden-Blinken administration tried to use this unfair decision as a tool of pressure on Azerbaijan, putting it back into effect.
