Selçuk Alagöz was born in 1944 in Istanbul. He first made himself known as a musician in 1964. By this time, he had already completed his university studies, where he studied economics and received a master's degree in tourism business. The performer participated in the song contest "Golden Microphone".
Later, together with his brothers, Selçuk formed his own group, in which their sister sang. In 1970, the collective participated in an international music competition held in Athens.
