The musician, who gained popularity in the 1960s-1970s, died on his 81st birthday. The artist passed away in the hospital, where he was admitted due to a sudden deterioration in health. This was reported by the singer's daughter on her social media. The exact cause of death has not been disclosed.
Selçuk Alagöz was born in 1944 in Istanbul. He first made himself known as a musician in 1964. By this time, he had already completed his university studies, where he studied economics and received a master's degree in tourism business. The performer participated in the song contest "Golden Microphone".
Later, together with his brothers, Selçuk formed his own group, in which their sister sang. In 1970, the collective participated in an international music competition held in Athens.
