Ali Moalemi: the process of electing Iran's new leader will proceed without delays
The process of selecting a successor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed as a result of American-Israeli strikes, will not take long.
This was stated by a member of the Assembly of Experts of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ali Moalemi.
"The selection of a new leader will not take long. The members of the Assembly of Experts (the body responsible for selecting a new supreme leader - ed.) have sworn that in choosing a leader they will not take personal preferences into account, but will select based on religious norms," the ISNA news agency quoted him as saying.
