AI tutors will be introduced for schoolchildren in Kazakhstan
In Kazakhstan, they plan to more actively implement artificial intelligence (AI) in education this year.
BAKU.WS reports this with reference to tengrinews.kz.
As reported by the country's Vice-Minister of Education Asylbek Akhmetzhanov, the ministry has begun creating a national system of digital profiles and a National Educational Platform.
"For this purpose, the National Educational Database will be modernized to become a unified data repository for all LMS, that is, electronic diaries and journals. This will allow consolidating all data on the state cloud platform QazTech," the government press service quotes the vice-minister.
According to him, this will reduce the routine workload on teachers, as AI agents will be able to help, for example, in preparing for pedagogical councils.
He added, "From the 2026/2027 academic year, a project will be launched in pilot regions for small schools - Qazaq Digital Mektebi, where AI tutors will also be used. During 2026, more than 200 thousand teachers will acquire practical AI skills."
Special attention is promised to be given to improving AI literacy among students.
