Azerbaijan evacuated most of the embassy staff in Tehran
Azerbaijan has already evacuated most of the staff from its embassy in Tehran.
This was stated by the head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Aykhan Hajizade, in response to a request from Report.
He added that the evacuation of the staff of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Tabriz has been fully completed.
As a reminder, Azerbaijan decided to withdraw all personnel from its embassy in Tehran and its consulate general in Tabriz after Iran's drone strikes on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, which injured 4 people. The decision was announced by Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov at a press conference on March 6, one day after the incident.
