A child conceived with the help of AI was born in the world for the first time
In Mexico, an unprecedented case in the history of reproductive medicine has been recorded - the world's first baby conceived using a fully automated ICSI system has been born, reports MIR24.TV. The revolutionary technology, controlled by artificial intelligence, opens a new era in infertility treatment.
The innovative system allowed scientists to place a sperm in a special pipette with incredible precision and perform microinjection directly into the egg cell. Notably, the accuracy of the automated system significantly surpassed traditional manual methods used by embryologists. This made it possible to completely eliminate the human factor and substantially reduce the risks of cell damage during manipulations.
The embryo was successfully created using the same ICSI system under remote operator control. After careful observation, it was implanted in the uterus of a 40-year-old patient. The pregnancy proceeded without complications, and the woman safely gave birth to a healthy boy, who became the world's first child born thanks to fully automated fertilization technology.
