The number of victims of the Russian strike on Kyiv region has increased

The death toll from the Russian strike on the Bucha district of Kyiv region of Ukraine has risen to 37 people.

According to him, work to eliminate the consequences of the strike continues at the site. Rescuers and other relevant services continue search-and-rescue and recovery operations.

In the Kyiv region of Ukraine, as a result of a Russian drone attack and the subsequent detonation of an ammunition depot on August 28 in the village of Myla in the Bucha district, 27 people were killed and 42 were injured, including four children. Among the dead is the head of the Dmytrivka community Taras Didych, who was one of the first to arrive at the scene. Significant damage to surrounding infrastructure has been recorded: residential buildings, a boarding home for elderly people and people with disabilities were damaged. As the head of state noted, since the evening, efforts to eliminate the consequences of the Russian drone strike have been underway in the village of Myla near Kyiv. On-site headquarters have been set up to help people. All necessary services have been engaged. Units of the State Emergency Service (SES) are working — more than 300 personnel.

According to Zelensky's information, dozens of people were injured. More than 370 people have already been evacuated, and evacuation is constantly ongoing.

As Tkachenko stated, medical services are also working at the scene. "According to available data, 42 people sustained injuries of varying severity, including 4 children. All received qualified assistance, 7 victims were hospitalized," he said.

According to the head of the RMA, 381 people have been evacuated from the emergency zone, including 59 children. An operational headquarters has been set up in Dmytrivka to process requests from local residents. Hot meals and psychological support are also available at the headquarters.

"Assessment of the damage caused to the community continues. Currently, approximately 50 residential buildings are known to have sustained damage of varying degrees. For those whose housing was affected, temporary accommodation is available," he added.
