In Azerbaijan, the broad money supply in manats increased by almost 20%
The broad money supply (M3 aggregate) in Azerbaijan as of August 1, 2026 amounted to 53 billion 925.5 million manats.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), this is 1.9% more compared to July 1, 8.15% more compared to the beginning of the year, and 13.1% more compared to August 1, 2025.
In particular, the money supply in manats (M2 aggregate) amounted to 43 billion 841.8 million manats, which is 1.4% more on a monthly basis, 8.5% more compared to the beginning of the year, and 19.6% more compared to August 1 of last year.
As of the reporting date, demand deposits (M1 monetary aggregate) amounted to 33 billion 641.7 million manats, which is slightly more on a monthly basis, 4.5% more compared to the beginning of the year, and 15.9% more compared to July 1, 2025.
The cash money supply outside banks (M0 aggregate) as of August 1 amounted to 18 billion 994.8 million manats, which is 0.9% more on a monthly basis, 6.8% more compared to the beginning of the year, and 15.1% more compared to July 1 of last year.
