466 people detained in Iran for undermining national security
Iranian police have detained a total of 466 people on charges of online activity aimed at undermining the country's national security.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Reuters, this was announced on Tuesday by Iranian state media.
It is noted that the operation was one of the largest security crackdowns since the beginning of the war with Israel and the United States.
According to Iranian media reports, more than 1,000 arrests were made during March. The detainees are accused of filming restricted facilities, spreading anti-government content online, or "collaborating with the enemy."
A police statement claims that the detainees were linked to "enemy" networks seeking to destabilize the situation inside Iran.
