Russian doctor warned about a hidden sign of arthritis
Mild pain in the knees, elbows, or fingers that appears during the cold season may be an early sign of arthritis. This was stated by Russian arthrologist Natalia Stepanova in an interview with "Lenta.ru," reports BAKU.WS.
According to the specialist, joint inflammation in the early stages often manifests weakly - mild pain in the mornings, slight stiffness after prolonged sitting, or discomfort during weather changes.
"Autumn pressure fluctuations and increased humidity can intensify pain even in mild forms of arthritis, as the joint capsule becomes more sensitive to changes in atmospheric pressure," the doctor explained.
Stepanova recommended seeing a rheumatologist if joint pain becomes regular, accompanied by swelling, stiffness, or limited movement. According to her, timely diagnosis and treatment help maintain joint mobility and reduce the risk of inflammation progression, making the cold season more comfortable.
