It has become known what needs to be done every day for heart health

An adult needs to consume about one gram of fat per kilogram of body weight daily. This amount of fat helps protect against Alzheimer's disease, cardiovascular diseases, and weakening of the immune system. This was stated by Dr. Carmen Alba, a dietitian at the Ruber International Clinic in Spain, in an interview with La Razón.
According to the specialist, a sufficient amount of fats in the diet helps protect the heart and reduces the risk of developing chronic inflammations that may be associated with certain types of oncological diseases. Beneficial fats also help prevent cognitive disorders while improving the absorption of vitamins necessary for the health of eyes, bones, and the immune system.
Dr. Alba reminded that the body should be nourished predominantly with unsaturated and essential fats, which are found in fish, avocados, nuts, seeds, and quality vegetable oils. At the same time, the consumption of trans fats - fats with altered chemical structure - should be limited. Such fats are mainly found in fast food products, confectionery, and red meat.
The dietitian also noted that not all dietary fats are absorbed equally. The actual body's need for fats depends on various factors, such as age, level of physical activity, health goals, and gender.
"For example, people who regularly engage in strength exercises have an increased body's ability to burn fat. The more muscle mass - the higher the body's ability to absorb fats," the specialist summarized.
