Chocolate contains dangerous metal for offspring - WARNING

American biologists from the University of Miami have discovered alarming consequences of consuming cadmium - a heavy metal often found in chocolate. According to a new study published in the scientific journal Consumer Reports, this toxic element not only harms the consumer's health but can also negatively affect their children and even grandchildren.
During the study, scientists identified elevated levels of cadmium and lead in popular chocolate brands widely available in the American market.
Specialists conducted experiments on zebrafish, whose genetic code is 74% identical to humans. The results confirmed that cadmium tends to accumulate in the body with a half-life of 10 to 30 years.
The study showed that this heavy metal provokes cardiovascular diseases and other serious health disorders. A particularly alarming discovery was the fact that the toxic effects of cadmium can be transmitted through several generations.
Experts strongly recommend consumers to be vigilant when choosing not only chocolate but also other products such as rice, flatbreads, and seafood, which may also contain the dangerous metal. Additionally, scientists advise quitting smoking, as tobacco actively accumulates cadmium from the soil.
To protect the body, specialists recommend enriching the diet with foods high in calcium, iron, and zinc, which can significantly reduce cadmium absorption and minimize its harmful effects.
