Blood type with the weakest immune system identified

Scientists have identified which blood type may be associated with the weakest immune system. According to the results of recent studies, people with the second (A) blood type turned out to be the most vulnerable to infections and viral diseases.
Specialists explain this by the fact that antigens characteristic of group A may weaken the body's response to foreign agents. Carriers of this blood type show a higher tendency toward inflammatory diseases, including respiratory infections, influenza, and COVID-19. There is also evidence of an increased risk of developing autoimmune diseases.
At the same time, people with fourth (AB) blood type may also have a less pronounced immune response, but their percentage in the population is significantly lower, which makes global conclusions difficult.
Meanwhile, carriers of first (O) blood type demonstrate more robust immune protection and less frequently suffer from severe forms of viral diseases. This is associated with the absence of A and B antigens, which makes their body less susceptible to certain types of infections.
Experts emphasize that blood type is just one of many factors affecting immunity. Lifestyle, nutrition, stress levels, and chronic diseases play an equally important role in protecting the body from diseases.
Doctors recommend that everyone, regardless of blood type, take care of their health, strengthen their immunity, and undergo regular medical examinations.
