Leyla Aliyeva participated in the opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of nature conservation in the Republic of Azerbaijan

Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva participated in the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "National Parks - 12 Wonders of Azerbaijan," dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the country's nature conservation activities. The event took place on the territory of the Seaside Boulevard.
As Azertag reports, the exhibition is organized by IDEA Public Union and showcases through photographs the nature, rich flora and fauna of specially protected natural territories and national parks of Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that systematic nature conservation in Azerbaijan began in 1925 with the creation of the first state reserve - Goygol. Currently, there are 12 national parks, 9 state nature reserves, and 24 state nature sanctuaries operating in the country.
