A simple way to maintain mobility into old age has been identified

Physiotherapist Jennifer Kostick-Johnson named a simple way to maintain mobility and strength into old age. Her advice is cited by HuffPost.
The specialist advised doing a simple exercise for this: lying on the floor on your stomach and staying in this position for a few minutes. The medical professional emphasized that this is especially important for people with sedentary jobs, as in this position the pelvic muscles, which are highly tensed during the workday, relax. "This exercise stretches the muscles located in the front of the thigh. It forces the lower back and hips to extend, which doesn't happen in other body positions," the physiotherapist believes.
Additionally, Kostick-Johnson noted that the exercise helps identify problems with any joints. According to her, to lie on the floor, you need to engage almost all joints and muscles. If pain or tightness occurs during the process, it indicates the need to see a doctor.
