Obesity medications had a surprising effect on the male body

Scientists have discovered that medications for obesity can significantly increase testosterone levels in men suffering from excess weight or type 2 diabetes. This revolutionary discovery in the field of men's health was presented at the ENDO 2025 medical conference in San Francisco.
The large-scale study involved 110 adult men taking popular weight loss medications - semaglutide, dulaglutide, or tirzepatide. None of the participants received hormone therapy. For a year and a half, specialists carefully tracked changes in total and free testosterone, as well as monitored the dynamics of patients' body weight.
The results were impressive: weight loss of just 10% led to a significant improvement in hormonal balance. The proportion of men with normal testosterone levels increased from 53% to 77%. This convincingly proves that modern obesity medications work comprehensively - not only helping to lose extra kilograms and control blood sugar levels but also beneficially affecting reproductive health.
Researchers specifically noted that these medications should be considered as part of a comprehensive approach to improving men's health, not just as a method of combating excess weight.
