Weather forecast for February: weather forecasters revealed what to expect in the last month of winter

The National Hydrometeorological Service presented a detailed weather forecast for the territory of Azerbaijan for February 2026.

In the last month of winter in the republic, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be close to the climatic norm, and in some areas slightly above the norm. The amount of precipitation during the month is expected to be close to the climatic norm. On February 1-2, precipitation is not expected in most parts of the country, however, during the daytime hours in mountainous areas, there is a possibility of short-term rain, including snowfall.

The average monthly air temperature in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula will be 5-8 degrees above zero (at night - 1-6 degrees above zero, on some days - down to 4 degrees below zero, during the day - 7-12, on some days - 1-5 degrees above zero), which is close to the climatic norm or will exceed it by one degree. The amount of precipitation for the month is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm - 21-24 mm).

In Nakhchivan, Julfa, Ordubad, Sadarak, Shahbuz and Sharur regions, the average monthly temperature will be 1-4 degrees above zero (at night - 3-8, on some days - 13-18 degrees below zero, during the day - 5-10 degrees above zero, on some days - 0-5 degrees below zero), which is within the climatic norm or will slightly exceed it. The monthly amount of precipitation will be close to the climatic norm - 11-29 mm.

In Khankendi, Shusha, Goranboy, Khojaly, Khojavend, Agdam, Dashkesan and Gadabay regions, the average monthly temperature will be from 1 degree below zero to 3 degrees above zero (at night - 5-10 degrees below zero, during the day - 3-8 degrees above zero, on some days - 0-5 degrees below zero), which is close to the climatic norm. The monthly amount of precipitation will also be close to the climatic norm - 21-36 mm.

In Eastern Zangezur: Jabrayil, Kalbajar, Gubadli, Lachin, Zangilan regions, the average monthly temperature will be 1-4 degrees above zero (at night - 2-7, on some days - 12-17 degrees below zero, during the day - 3-8 degrees above zero, on some days - 0-5 degrees below zero), which is within the climatic norm. The monthly amount of precipitation will also be close to the climatic norm - 24-32 mm.

In Ganja, Gazakh, Agstafa, Shamkir, Tovuz, Terter, Fuzuli regions, Jeyranchol, the average monthly temperature will be 3-7 degrees above zero (at night - 0-5 degrees above zero, on some days - 2-7 degrees below zero, during the day - 7-12, on some days - 0-5 degrees above zero), which is close to the climatic norm or will slightly exceed it. The monthly amount of precipitation will be within the climatic norm - 15-36 mm.

In Balaken, Zagatala, Gakh, Sheki, Oguz, Gabala, Ismayilli, Agsu, Shamakhi, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Guba, Khachmaz, Gusar regions, the average monthly temperature will be 2-6 degrees above zero (at night - 0-5 degrees above zero, on some days - 2-7 degrees below zero, during the day - 7-12 degrees above zero, on some days - 0-3 degrees below zero, in mountainous areas at night - 8-13, on some days - 17-22 degrees below zero), which is close to the climatic norm or will be slightly above it. The monthly amount of precipitation will be close to the climatic norm - 24-55 mm.

In Mingachevir, Yevlakh, Goychay, Agdash, Kurdamir, Imishli, Agjabadi, Beylagan, Sabirabad, Saatli, Shirvan, Hajigabul, Zardab, Salyan, Neftchala regions, the average monthly temperature will be 5-8 degrees above zero (at night - 1-6 degrees above zero, on some days - 2-7 degrees below zero, during the day - 8-13 degrees above zero, on some days - from 3 degrees below zero to 2 above zero), which is close to the climatic norm or will exceed it by one degree. The monthly amount of precipitation will also be close to the climatic norm - 21-35 mm.

In Masalli, Yardimli, Lerik, Lankaran, Bilasuvar, Astara, Jalilabad regions, the average monthly temperature will be 4-8 degrees above zero (at night - 1-6 degrees above zero, on some days - 2-6 degrees below zero, during the day - 6-11 degrees above zero, on some days - from 2 degrees below zero to 3 above zero, in mountains at night - 0-3 on some days - 8-13 degrees below zero, during the day - 3-8 degrees above zero, on some days - 0-3 degrees below zero), which is within the climatic norm or will slightly exceed it. The monthly amount of precipitation is also expected to be close to the norm - 44-105 mm.
