President: Such a tragedy will never happen to our people again

The state has already created conditions for you here. Some houses have been restored, rebuilt from scratch. This process will continue. Tens of thousands of Azerbaijani citizens already live on the liberated lands, about 30 thousand of them are former displaced persons. As you know, in the last 4-5 years we have allocated funds mainly for infrastructure projects, because there must be basic living conditions - electricity, gas, water, roads, bridges, tunnels. And now more funds will be allocated for the construction and restoration of residential buildings. Therefore, the process of the "Great Return" will proceed faster.

As Oxu.Az reports, President Ilham Aliyev stated this during a meeting with the residents of the city of Khojavend and the village of Khojavend.

"Jobs are also being created here, both through the state and through public organizations and, of course, the private sector. Most of the people living here were engaged in agriculture at one time. You know well that this region has very beautiful nature, fertile lands, water, springs - everything is here. The main thing is that people now live here comfortably and are absolutely confident that such a disaster will never happen to our people again. For this, we must always be strong, vigilant, we must not forget the past, we must look confidently into the future. Just as we confidently look and live now. I congratulate you wholeheartedly. I wish you good health," the head of state emphasized.
