Azerbaijani female boxer became European champion by defeating Armenian opponent

Azerbaijani athlete Amina Tagi (50 kg) won a gold medal at the European Junior Championship in Novi Pazar (Serbia), defeating her opponent from Armenia Amest Afrikyan.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the athlete won the final against her opponent with a score of 4:1 (29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 27:30, 30:27) and climbed to the top step of the podium. The anthem of Azerbaijan was played in her honor in Novi Pazar.
Silver medals were won by Jamila Muradly (52 kg), Fidan Bakarova (63 kg), Sama Abbasova (66 kg), and bronze medals were won by Aylin Nazarova (46 kg), Gyular Huseynova (48 kg) and Zahra Mamedova (54 kg).
Thus, the Azerbaijan women's boxing team completed the European Championship with one gold, three silver and three bronze medals.
On the sixth day of the competition, Safdar Mamedzade (+80 kg) advanced to the final. In the semifinal match, he confidently defeated Kirill Zhukovsky from Belarus. In the decisive bout, Mamedzade will face Russian Bogdan Smolkin.
Note that earlier bronze medals were won by Gardash Ragimov (46 kg), Magomed Rasulov (50 kg), Raul Geydarli (54 kg), Shahin Aslanov (60 kg) and Khagverdi Gasanov (63 kg).
